Answer: It only connects to one line which is usually the cold.

Answer: I am nota plumber but there is only one handle to turn on, you can not set it for hot and cold water. To turn the faucet on you have to turn on both handles and turn both handles off. I love this pot filler and I am very happy with it. It is easy to use. We used the water line that was set up for our refrigerator, we moved our refrigerator to a new location across the room. Hope this helps.

Answer: I had mine offset to the right half of the stove to leave room for a magnetic knife rack on the left side. I have no issue pivoting the arm out to fill a pot.
