4 sections 3 feet each, I start the first a couple feet off the ground about a foot between so approximately 15 feet, come with some sort of buckle, I bought separate ratchet straps, but I absolutely love these as my size 13 fit completely on and both fit on each step (feet), the anti-skid actually makes a difference as well
