After finishing assembling, why some holes for the screws aren’t aligned each other properly?
Please make sure all screws have fitted into the holes properly.
Take note that screws can’t be tightened until finishing the whole assembling.
When you find there is a gap between two boards, or two connective boards aren’t flat, asymmetrical, please adjust the position screws to have a try.

I am not sure how much exactly, but i have had my rather heavy heat press on it and right now i have a large computer, a large Canon printer and my die-cut machine on top of it and it holds everything beautifully! I'd recommend a clamp setup instead but you can drill thru it. Just start with small hole first then increase size slowly till you reach desired width.

The wood is little over 1/2 inch and the frame extends it to roughly 1 1/4 inches (I eyeballed it with a ruler). I have a 32 inch Dell monitor and a 20 inch monitor sitting on it along with a lot of crap that collected on the desk over time. The desk is solidly built and I am very happy with it.
